present location at 1st and Oak Street. They moved into their present building at the same address a few years later in 1961. In 1960, Grace began selling vegetable plants, packaged roses, and packaged fruit trees. From that humble beginning in the mid 40s until the present time, what is now known as Guthals Nursery and Landscaping has grown into a full service garden center.
Thanks to the many fine people of Eastern New Mexico and West Texas, Guthals now offers what is considered to be the largest and most complete line of nursery stock, fertilizer, seeds, and lawn & garden chemicals in the area. |
The business is now owned by Charles, Bryan, and Charlton Guthals and still offers the highest quality and most complete line of lawn and garden products in the area.
Many places sell plants, but not everyone can tell you what plants do well in our area, or whether a particular plant should even be planted here. If you don’t know plants, you should know your nurseryman. At Guthals, we pride ourselves in knowing our plants and how to plant them as well as where to plant them. Some plants like shade while others like sun. Some plants like both! |
